We offer FREE Shipping within New Zealand for orders over $75;

  • standard shipping North Island $7
  • standard shipping South Island $9 

Gift vouchers exempt from shipping charges.

All orders are tracked nationwide via Castle Parcels & Post Haste couriers; and sent from our Studio in Pukekohe.

Unless otherwise specified on an individual product page, the standard delivery time frames are between 3 -10 business days of receipt of your order; If you require your item in a hurry please message us to get a definite delivery time frame.

In the event that an ordered item is not available or we are unable to fulfil your order we will notify you within 24 hours to arrange an agreeable alternative item, a backorder or a full refund.

We do not routinely ship internationally however we can provide quotes on a case by case basis if you can please contact us hello@chalkdesign.co.nz - we will reply within 24 hours.


As this is a perishable item, we do not offer full refunds or returns. 
However if your plant arrives damaged we can send out new plants to replace them; we do reserve the right to refund you for the broken ones instead of shipping new ones,
or inform you on how to care for the damaged ones depending on the situation. 

Great care is taken in the packaging of your pots & plants, but unfortunately the same cannot always be said in how they are handled once they leave us.
If you are unhappy with your order for whatever reason, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we will do our best to make the situation right.

Please choose carefully before you buy our products.

We will offer you a refund of the Product you purchased if you are not happy that Product.  Please notify us by email hello@chalkdesign.co.nz. From receipt of your Order, you have 30 days to return items with proof of purchase.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and contain a receipt or proof of purchase (such as the Order confirmation or invoice you received with your Product).

Gift vouchers are exempt from being returned. Plants are exempt from being returned.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted (if applicable):

  • Part of an order is returned
  • A discretionary refund
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

When returning your product, please make sure you provide the following details:

  • Your full name
  • Your order number
  • Reason why you are returning the product
  • Your instructions informing us how you would like the issue resolved
  • Contact phone number
  • Please include the original order confirmation or invoice you received with your product.

Faulty items

If the Product you wish to return is faulty, we will require photo proof of the faulty item sent to us via email hello@chalkdesign.co.nz within 2 days of receipt of product. You will then be offered a replacement or repair of the faulty item or a full refund or store credit, whichever you prefer. Any refunds will be transferred back to the original payment method, eg. your credit or debit card or store credit. If your purchase was originally processed via LAYBUY your refund will also be processed direct from them.


Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 3 - 5 Business Days. We can only make a refund to the original purchaser of the Product. If your purchase was originally processed via LAYBUY your refund will also be processed direct from them (please see the LAYBUY terms for more info).

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hello@chalkdesign.co.nz


We do not provide exchanges for change or mind or on sale items. We will refund or replace an item if it is damaged, faulty, is not as it appeared on the site or where the item does not meet the guarantees set out in the Consumer Guarantees Act in accordance with our Returns Policy shown above. Sale items

Items on sale cannot be refunded unless the item is faulty. Only regular priced items will be eligible for an exchange or refund where you change your mind.
